Frozen Banana Bites with Chocolate

Frozen Banana Bites with Chocolate

These no-bake frozen banana bites are the healthy summer snack kids will ask to make on repeat—and the one you’ll actually want them eating.

No oven. No stovetop. Five ingredients. Banana coins get topped with Oolie Vanilla Yogurt, scattered with chopped almonds, and drizzled with melted dark chocolate before heading into the freezer. One hour later you have something cold, creamy, and chocolatey that genuinely tastes like dessert—without the dairy, without the sugar crash, and without any real effort.

Kids can make these start to finish. Little ones can spread the yogurt and scatter the almonds. Older kids can handle the chocolate drizzle. It keeps everyone occupied for twenty minutes and pays off with a freezer full of snacks worth eating. Make a double batch on Sunday and you’re stocked for the week.

No-bake, make-ahead, dairy-free, and ready in an hour. This is summer snacking sorted.

TIME: 10 minutes active + 1 hour freeze

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/4 cup Oolie Vanilla Yogurt
  • 3 tbsp chopped almonds
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)
  • Flaky salt, for topping (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Cut each banana in half, then slice each half lengthwise to create 8 flat banana pieces. Arrange them in a single layer on a parchment-lined tray or plate that fits in your freezer.

Step 2: Spoon a generous layer of Oolie Vanilla Yogurt onto each banana slice. Use the back of the spoon to spread it evenly to the edges. This is the perfect step for little kids to take over.

Step 3: Top each piece with chopped almonds, pressing them in lightly so they stick to the yogurt.

Step 4: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil if using. Microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.

Step 5: Drizzle the melted chocolate over each piece. Finish with a pinch of flaky salt if you like that sweet-salty combo. Transfer the tray to the freezer and freeze for at least 1 hour, until fully solid.

Step 6: Enjoy straight from the freezer. Transfer to an airtight container or zip-top bag for longer storage—they keep up to two weeks, though they rarely last that long. No thawing needed.
